That reminds me to replace the chain on my MTB, again

I should probably replace the one on my mtb. It has maybe 3 repair links on it already.

The only thing worse is actually making far and then snapping it. I’ve done the Flintstones bike of shame before.

Most people wait way too long to replace their chain. That causes excessive wear on the chain rings and cassette. Worn gears with a new chain is a recipe for a face plant caused by chain slip under high load (this too, I learned the hard way).

One thing
I don’t know why
It doesn’t even matter how hard I try
Keep that in mind
the design is prime
To snap the chain right on time
*I tried soooo haaaaard*
In spite of the way I was pedaling
The bike gods weren’t having my meddling
Remembering I fell at full speed
Collapsing to the ground
*AND SCRAPPED MYYY FAAAAAAAAAA-*
I needed everything outside, and even though I tried, It all fell apart
What it meant to me will eventually be a memory of the time I
BIKED SO HAAARD
AND DIDN’T GET FAAAAAAR
IN THE EEEEEND
MY BIKE IS ON THE GROUND NOOOOOOOW
